At the same time, I think the whole world is also aware that the Year of the Rat has not gotten to an auspicious start.
We are now faced with a global health epidemic.
As our two events – Inaugural 100 Tasting & Launch Dinner of the 2020 Edition of 100 Top Chinese Restaurants of the World – are less than two months away on 23 and 24 March 2020 respectively, because of the coronavirus health problem, we have decided to postpone these Hong Kong events to July 2020.
We feel this is necessary because coronavirus is only at the beginning stage and will take a few more months for health authorities to understand the risks involved.
The Singapore launch dinner on Wednesday 8 April 2020 will proceed. As for Shanghai’s scheduled launch dinner for Wednesday 15 April 2020, we will monitor the situation and update accordingly.
We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused and hope you understand our intention not to put you and participants exposed to unnecessary risks. And worry your family.
Once the dates for July are confirmed – we are communicating with the venue of the tasting and the restaurant where the launch dinner will be held – we will write again to inform you.
